Butts Lawn Farm

The Trustees and staff of Animals’ Voice are thrilled to share the wonderful news that we acquired ‘Butts Lawn Farm’, which has nearly two acres of land, a large barn, and out-buildings.

This venture has taken us several years and it is hoped that with support and lots of hard work in the future this will enable us to provide a wildlife rescue and release centre. Ideally we would like to incorporate an educational centre for visitors, especially the younger generation, providing information about our animal kingdom and ways we can support and help protect them in the future!

The property is approximately about five minutes by car or a ten-minute walk from our Headquarters in Salisbury Street. We have waited such a long time for this day and to say we are excited is an understatement but at the same time can not quite believe how fortunate we are! Sharing this news is just the beginning and in the coming weeks and months there will be many projects to set up: aviaries and shelters to build, and a greater challenge.

We will, when allowed, begin fund-raising to undertake this work, plus the letting of the bungalow for holidays once the restrictions of Covid-19 are lifted.

It is our belief now more than ever to provide care for sick and injured wild birds and animals but at the same time deliver an educational programme to all age groups to understand how important it is to secure their natural habitat plus providing visitors with an insight into our work. The country is going through a difficult period and we are all cautious, but we need support: even a small donation to help further our work for animals is greatly appreciated.

The bungalow at Butts Lawn Farm will be available for holidays again when restrictions are lifted.

Located in Fordingbridge on the edge of the New Forest, in a very quiet location within a ten-minute walk to shops, restaurants, etc., the property consists of two bedrooms, one double and one with two single beds. The bathroom has a shower, heated towel rail, toilet, and handbasin whilst the kitchen and lounge is open plan. The bungalow accommodates four adults, or two adults and two children, and a maximum of two medium sized dogs. There is good outside space with patio, off-road parking and fenced garden for children and dogs. You can book the bungalow at Booking.com or HomeAway.co.uk or search for “Fordingbridge Swallows Retreat”.

Holidaying with us will support our organisation and help us to carry out the extremely important work of housing shelters and aviaries for our wildlife rescue work.
